- Wix fired Dublin employee Courtney Carey after she posted on LinkedIn expressing solidarity with Palestinians and calling Israel a 'terrorist state.' Ireland's Workplace Relations Commission later ruled the firing was procedurally unfair and ordered Wix to pay compensation.
- Leaked internal communications showed Wix had created a company Slack channel called 'Supporting Israel Narrative,' directing employees to produce pro-Israel content online, with one message instructing staff to emphasize that 'unlike the Gazans, we look and live like Europeans and Americans.'
- Intentionally designed their product to make it difficult to cancel services and avoid unauthorized auto-renewals.
- In 2016, WordPress co-founder Matt Mullenweg publicly accused Wix of copying code from the open-source WordPress mobile app without attribution or GPL compliance.
